Great review! DNA just reissued this set, so I've got one on pre-order from BBTS. I noticed that the elbows on your Devastator can hold their own weight without flopping down. Did you perform some kind of mod or were you the lucky recipient of one where the elbows were tight right out of the box?

Trying to find the right blue paint. I have three in my paints but yours looks like lights. Love it and want that color.

I, personally, like the Japanese continuity version of the Headmasters better. When I first saw the seasons 3 and 4 of the American version of the Transformers, I remember hating it, especially the Rebirth episodes. I loved the seasons 1 and 2, I even loved the movie, still love those, but the seasons 3 and 4, especially the Rebirth episodes, were total disappointments, in my opinion at least. Thankfully, the Japanese continuity fixed the issues. That's how I felt, when I watched the Transformers G1 and the Transformers: The Headmasters (the Japanese continuity).

From the second i saw this mold in promo pics as Jazz I said "Oh thts Crasher, for sure!" Fast forward 4 years later & they never did it. Thats got to be 1 of the biggest oversights in TF history. What makes it even worse is they actually released a Crasher recently & instead of this mold they repainted the recent Mirage mold again. They repainted Mirage into Crasher way back in the early chug days too even though they share no similarities in bot or vehicle mode at all besides head shape. My only guess as to why is maybe they thought using this mold would get them sued because it's so much more suitable than what they chose! Disappointing but at least u did what they should've. It's like they get stuck on boring unfulfilling repaints. Arcee is always going to be Nightbird despite the fact it doesn't match at all. Same w/ Mirage as Crasher.. or ahemm Fracture. How did Hasbro miss this? It's like having a boxed nose semi on their desk & saying man we need to make another Prime, oh lets repaint Jetfire into Prine, like bruh.

Got any tips on taking Rumble fully apart, I want to do a repaint.

Gosh I thought I was the only one having issues transforming this thing. The instruction did not help at all, I wasted quite some time trying to decipher it :) Thanks a lot for providing a clue on how to turn the thing into a veritech fighter, I now finally got it :D I literally thought there was smth wrong with the piece I've got due to the whole complexity and inconvenience of transforming it, but now I see that it is supposed to be this way apparently. Definitely not the easiest transformer. And it's not something to play with either. As a collectible I am still pretty happy about it. The paint job looks great, the toy itself also looks like a high quality product in general. Great for a display on a shelf.

Countach isn't pronounced like that. Countach is not pronounced koon-tahk. Most people do pronounce it correctly as koon-tahsch. It's derived from the Piedmontese word contacc which is pronounced similarly but a little closer to koon-tatch. In both piedmontese and Italien the word means wow. Apparently, it was one of the rare times when Lamborghini didn't use a bullfighting term as the name of one of their cars.
